Once a year, the
Coalition awards films and DVDs that
have played at its KIDS FIRST! Film
and Video Festivals throughout the
past 12 months. These awards of excellence
are presented to those titles that
have received the highest ratings
from our judges, festival hosts,
and you - our audience.
This year, we have 15 categories that honor films from both major and independent
studios, and are designed for kids in four different age groups: 2-5, 5-8,
8-12 and 12-18. More than 80 titles have been nominated by our senior jurors.
You may vote for one title in each category, and in addition, for one title
that you believe should receive one of five Best of the Fest Awards.
This is your chance to be a KIDS FIRST! Film Critic by telling us what you
think of this year’s programming. Additionally, every person who votes
will be included in a random drawing to receive one copy of each of the five
Best of the Fest Award-winning titles.
The winners will be announced at a special KIDS FIRST! Awards Event in this
holiday season. Check back for the time and place!
